A big part of getting myself through lockdown and through each day of this crazy year has been music, there is not a day where I am not listening to music. Whether I am designing, doing the washing up, tidying or on my way to work, I always have music playing and would be quite lost without it. These two songs by Harry Styles are ones that always cheer me up and make me feel good - "Golden" and "Treat People With Kindness". The colours used are ones that I think of when I hear these songs and that I wanted to use to create these pieces.
I wanted to keep the designs very simplistic and let the words shout off the design - with many people knowing the song lyrics, I felt it was best to keep it in a simple way. This wave of typography for the first two pieces is something that I just thought could look effective and after trying it and adding the second layer of type, saw that it did.
